Mission Possible: Wedding Planning on My Own Terms

Like so many brides out there, I am a successful career girl who can be defined as (1) a self made and fiscally-independent professional woman, (2) a knowledgeable and deliberate consumer, (3) a connoisseur of fine things, and (4) a blissful bride in her late 20’s-early 30’s (a lady never reveals her age!).  So when Lucky Groom proposed to me on that gorgeous Caribbean summer night, I allowed myself all of 3 weeks to enjoy my engagement bliss before I pulled up my sleeves and cranked up my creative juices to find the best possible vendors and ideas for my wedding!

To be clear, my mission is not to plan an affair that would land on WE TV’s ”My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding” (BTW, if you haven’t already seen this show, check it out if not only for the guilty pleasure you’ll relish from it!) or grace the glossy pages of The Knot, Modern Bride, and Martha Stewart’s Wedding magazines (although that would be icing on the cake).  No, my mission is to plan a wonderful affair that will encapsulate Lucky Groom’s and my personality and style, stretch the value of our hard earned dollars, and be supported by the best customer service you should expect (and hence, demand) on your special day.

A tall order?  Not so much; this is where the fun begins.  If this mission statement sounds familiar to you, join me on the ride!

-Lucky Bride
